The itinerary begins with a visit to the Palazzo Diamanti and the large green spaces of the Addizione Erculea, the heart of the Renaissance city. Here, you will be guided through the history of the Estensi family, the family that paved the way for the Renaissance in Emilia Romagna. You will then proceed with a visit to the Romanesque-Gothic cathedral, passing through the courtyard of honour of the Palazzo Marchionale, and on to the Castello Estense.
