Cinema Modernissimo is back: historic 20th-century cinema reopens
The city of Bologna will be celebrating for ten days of unmissable events
Located in the heart of the city, the Cinema Modernissimo cinema hall is one of the most historic places of active participation in Bologna. It was built in 1915 a few steps from the Neptune statue, inside Palazzo Ronzani. Born as a cinematograph, over the years it became a real landmark, a venue for cultural projects and initiatives.
Cinema Modernissimo: reopening of the historic cinema
After many years of closing and waiting, the City of Bologna is finally returning this valuable space to the citizens and, thanks to its collaboration with the Cineteca, is planning an opening worthy of the big event: from 21 to 30 November, the city center is overwhelmed by a multifaceted cultural project. Then, not only about cinema, but an explosion of art in all its forms-a wonderful encounter between past and present in a breathtaking location.
Every major event requires notable personalities. Among the many are Martin Scorsese, Wes Anderson, Paola Cortellesi and Giuseppe Tornatore.
