Description
Discover the artistic treasures of Florence on a day trip from Bologna, travelling by high-speed train to the cradle of the Renaissance.
Join small-group guided tours of two of the world's most celebrated museums. At the Accademia Gallery, admire Michelangelo's iconic David and his fascinating unfinished sculptures. Continue to the Uffizi Gallery, originally commissioned by the Medici family, to discover extraordinary Renaissance masterpieces, including Botticelli's Birth of Venus and Primavera, alongside works by Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo and Raphael.
Depending on the scheduled train and tour times, enjoy free time to explore Florence's charming streets, magnificent squares and iconic landmarks before returning independently to Bologna by train.
Important notes
- To enter the Accademia and Uffizi Galleries, all participants must carry a valid ID. Non-EU visitors are required to bring their passport. Museum staff may refuse entry if a valid ID is not presented;
- Departure is independently from Bologna railway station. In Florence, the meeting point is at Via Cavour 18 (black street number);
- Train tickets will be sent the day before the tour;
- Comfortable walking shoes are recommended
